Powering the Next Wave of AI Innovation: Inside Infra Demo Nights at COLABS

As AI continues to advance, the focus is expanding beyond applications to the infrastructure that powers them.

As AI continues to advance, the focus is expanding beyond applications to the infrastructure that powers them. From compute and hardware to deployment, these technologies are shaping the next generation of innovation.

To explore these developments, COLABS Narjis hosted Infra Demo Nights in partnership with Propeller, STV, and BECO Capital. The event brought together founders, engineers, researchers, investors, and product builders for an evening dedicated to the future of AI infrastructure, featuring live product demos, technical discussions, and opportunities to connect with others building in the space.

The evening featured insights from Mohamad Bahamdain, CTO of Qubit; Mohammed Asslahi, CEO of Cybersee; Ibrahim Abedalaziz, CTO of OmniOps; Ismail H.A. I.; and Sunghyun Park, Co-Founder and CEO of Rebellions. Discussions explored advances in AI hardware, the growing importance of the compute layer, and the need for sovereign AI infrastructure. A highlight of the evening was hearing from Sunghyun Park, who shared his journey of building Rebellions into a multi-billion-dollar AI chip company and his perspective on the future of AI infrastructure. It gave the Riyadh startup community the chance to hear firsthand from a founder building at the forefront of one of the world’s fastest-growing technology sectors.

The event also brought together founders, investors, and leaders from organizations including Wa’ed Ventures, SANABIL Investments, Merak Capital, Aramco, HUMAIN, and many others, creating opportunities for new conversations, partnerships, and ideas to take shape.

Founders also had the opportunity to showcase their products, exchange ideas with fellow builders, and receive valuable feedback from peers and industry experts. The live demos reinforced the event’s focus on collaboration, creating an environment where technical discussions could turn into practical insights and potential partnerships.

At COLABS, we’re committed to creating spaces where innovation thrives through community. By partnering with organizations like Propeller, STV, and BECO Capital, we continue to bring together the people, ideas, and conversations shaping the future of technology and supporting the next generation of AI innovation across the region.
